Steven Palazzo property rights eminent domain Mississippi

Full story: firegenetaylor.com Out of the 20 opportunities he had to limit eminent domain abuse in Mississippi, Steven Palazzo voted against private property rights 18 times. Steven Palazzo doesn’t respect your right to keep what you work hard for any more than Gene Taylor. Mississippians don’t want someone to represent Jackson for us and we don’t want someone to represent Washington for us. We want someone who knows and respects the Constitution and will fight for each of us to keep what we’ve earned. This is why more and more people are looking to a 3rd party candidate like Tim Hampton instead of someone from inside the Republican/Democrat system. Here’s how the scam works… Section 17, Article 3 of the MS Constitution states that, whenever property is being taken by eminent domain, the question of whether it is a public use or not is a judicial question — not a legislative question. This is the “Constitutional” argument made by Haley Barbour, Steven Palazzo, and others (both Democrats and Republicans) when they voted down eminent domain reform (HB 803) in 2009. Yet, every year these same ambitious politicians defy the Constitution, as well as their own argument against eminent domain reform through the legislative process, by using the legislative process to expand the powers of eminent domain for private use.
